The MBA or Masters of Business Administration is widely viewed as a ticket to a high salary job whether on Wall Street or in Corporate America. With that said, there is a certain earnings range that MBA graduates can expect that I go over in this article.
What is an MBA? Why get an MBA?
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a master's degree in business administration, which attracts people from a wide range of academic disciplines. The MBA designation originated in the United States, emerging from the late 19th century as the country industrialized and companies sought out scientific approaches to management. The MBA degree has since achieved worldwide recognition.
Accreditation bodies exist specifically for MBA programs to ensure consistency and quality of graduate business education, and business schools in many countries offer MBA programs tailored to full-time, part-time, executive, and distance learning students, with specialized concentrations.
What are the different types of MBA Programs?
Basic types of MBA programs
Two year MBA programs normally take place over two academic years (i.e. approximately 18 months of term time), in the Northern Hemisphere beginning in late August/September of year one and continuing until May of year two, with a three to four month summer break in between years one and two. Students enter with a reasonable amount of prior real-world work experience and take classes during weekdays like other university students.

Online College Degree - Getting An Online College Degree
Are you considering going back to school? Do you want to get your degree so you can move up in a current career or so you can change careers all together? Basically, you would go back to school so you could better your life financially or just do something that you would actually enjoy. Getting an online college degree is a very popular way to achieve those goals you have and you can do it pretty easily. Here are the steps to getting your college degree online.
Step #1
You need to figure out what it is you want to go back to school for. There will be plenty of people trying to influence you, but you have to listen to your heart. If you find the law to be facinating, then maybe a degree in criminal justice would be in your best interest. If you think you want to run your own business, then maybe a business degree would fit your needs. Just remember that this is not only about what you are good at, but also what you enjoy. Your passion is what you are searching for.
Step #2
You will have to figure out if you can get your entire degree online or if you will have to do part of it in the classroom. If you are wanting to go for something in a very hands on type of fields, then you might be able to get all your basics and some of the other classes out of the way, but you will probably have to step into the classroom after your first year or two so that you can finish your degree. The Business, Criminal Justice, and all the fields that have to do with computers can usually be done online, along with a handful of others.
Step #3
You will have to decide which online college is right for you. They all offer similar programs, but some offer more extensive programs than other. There are also some that offer accelerated programs and some that do not. You will have to shop around and figure out which school you will be attending to get your online college degree.
