Financing Your MBA: Tanaka Business School Launches New Range of Imperial MBA Scholarships
London (PRWeb) March 8, 2007 -- With effect from March 2007, candidates wishing to enrol for the full-time and Executive MBA degrees in Tanaka Business School, Imperial College London, will be able to take advantage of a range of new scholarships. Launched with the objective of attracting top female and international candidates to the School's programme, the scholarships are also a celebration of Imperial College's centenary.
The Scholarships now available are:
2 MBA Foundation Scholarships and 2 EMBA Foundation scholarships, worth £10,000 each.
Imperial College was founded 100 years ago and in order to commemorate this anniversary, Tanaka Business School is offering four Scholarships for the full-time and Executive Imperial MBA. For the full-time scholarships, a minimum GMAT score of 640 is required and the deadline for scholarship application is the 30th of June 2007. For the Weekend Executive MBA, the deadline for scholarship applications is the 13th of April 2007 and for the Weekday Executive MBA, the deadline for scholarship applications is the 30th of November and a GMAT score is required.
3 MBA Scholarships for Women worth £10,000 each.
Women are still under-represented in senior leadership positions. As part of the School's commitment to increasing the talented pool of women in business, it is offering three scholarships to female candidates for the full-time Imperial MBA commencing in October 2007. To apply for a scholarship candidates must have an offer of a place on the Imperial MBA and a GMAT score of 640. The deadline for scholarship application is the 30th of June 2007.
3 MBA Scholarships for Emerging Markets worth £10,000 each
Tanaka Business School is particularly proud of the internationally diverse nature of its student body. In order to maintain the diversity of its cohort, the School is offering three £10,000 Scholarships for Emerging Markets the full-time Imperial MBA commencing in October 2007.
To apply for a scholarship, candidates need to be citizens of an emerging economy (an economy ranked below 30th place in the 2005 IMF GDP per capita rankings - published Sept 2006 ), non-UK residents, and possess a minimum GMAT score of 640 and an offer of a place on the Imperial MBA programme.
5 Rajiv Ghandi Scholarships worth £20,000 each.
Awarded to Indian candidates displaying exceptional leadership and management skills and who are currently living and working in India, each Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship is worth £20,000. Imperial College has earmarked £2m of its own funds to support these scholarships, a key element in celebrating its Centenary year in 2007. The scholarships commemorate the former Indian Prime Minister, who studied at Imperial. The launch of these new scholarships, together with the recent creation of the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Tanaka Business School, confirm the School's commitment to becoming a key hub for knowledge transfer between the UK and India.
